Silicon Valley is the sequel.
It’s only an S-tier episode… If he can do the loop.

Correct!
That was an interesting rabbit hole. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything to do with these characters before. It looks like in some cases they’re real gods and have storylines and everything. I don’t imagine we’ll ever get much with them in the DCU, but still cool.

That’s funny, when I remembered them I could only remember Amber’s name, but I was actually mixing up two different scenes.

That’s the one that sticks with me, but also Homer later tells Amber he can change, so the name Amber stuck with me.
But yes! Vegas wives, Ginger and Amber! Correct!
Dog.
Also who do the Kryptonians consider “gods”?

It’s award winning!

Correct!

I mean in general Rachel McAdams should always be utilized more. But I’m not sure what else the character of Christine Palmer could have done. We have mainline Christine Palmer who is getting married, which I think worked well. She is a character that Strange shouldn’t see much of. We have Illuminati Palmer, who I think does a lot in the film. And then of course a missing Palmer in the incursion world, but unless you wanted to add a weird head in a jar Christine or something, I think also had to be absent.

Well it’s your parents fault with a name like that.

Plus it saved the Simpsons. Correct!

I think that Clayface is a lot of fun, but I don’t think we’re getting that for this film. It’s being billed as a horror film, so I expect something more similar to his Batman: The Animated Series debut, but PG-13 or maybe even R rated.

In general I think talking about either having a disease, or being predisposed to having a disease is a positive thing since it helps remove the taboo that surrounds it. Seeing that a celebrity has the same problems as your average person may allow someone to better understand and interpret their own disease, or the disease of someone close. So for that reason I’m glad Hemsworth went public.
That being said, as just a random person Chris Hemsworth has no obligation to share such personal information with the world at large.
For a disease like Alzheimers, if he gets it, then yeah he’ll no longer be able to play an action star. And I understand wanting to be young forever, especially in acting where you can play a role “till he’s 90”. A diagnosis like Alzheimers essential removes your decision making from that process. It cuts years off your life that you thought you had.
So I’m glad to see him talking and thinking about it now.

That’s just a carp swimming around your ankles.

Correct! Good for Marge overcoming her fears.

Another thing to consider is that we’re seeing the film through the eyes of Rose Byrne’s character. Major events of the film definitely happened, and characters acted generally the way they did, but she’s not necessarily seeing the events as they actually are happening.
Conan’s character is absolutely ignoring her in a moment of need, but her own anxiety may be making it appear worse than it actually was. That doesn’t make it right, just a reminder of how we’re viewing the events of the film.
Take for example the role of the husband. Throughout the film we view him as a jerk who is clearly not supporting the main character. He’s always dismissive and unhelpful. Then late in the film we learn he is in the Navy and off on a ship. His actions of not being there for Rose Byrne are suddenly much more understandable. Should he have left his wife alone? Probably not. Was he likely doing it for the family and daughter specifically, probably yes. Once he arrived home he immediately got to solving the issue with the hole. He genuinely seemed like a nice guy. But importantly, this story isn’t about the husband, it’s about Rose Byrne’s character. Her anxieties are real to her and valid, however they do consume her, which is where the problem comes from.

As a kid I assumed Drambuie was some weird adult food that contained a red paste, like frosting. Grading papers while eating lunch made sense to me.
When I learned what Drambuie was I was immediately taken back to this episode and got a chuckle for a whole new reason.
Correct!

Many years ago I heard a comedian tell a joke, “I come from a long line of people who had kids.”
He was a funny guy, with a funny set, but that line always stuck with me.

Don’t forget Ozmodiar!
