Eat em!
Agreed. But not impossible. Insignia got original Halo 2 Xbox Live servers back online. Most nights you can find a game easily with 20-40 people online during peak hours. It requires a soft mod and maybe 1-2 hours of set up to get online. If anyone could just turn on their old Xbox and play, I’m confident those numbers would be in the hundreds at least.
Allowing people to run private servers is an easy way to allow those that want to play to keep playing in an era where most games have some level of online functionality.
One of their ideas is allow private match/self hosted online services for any game that shuts down it’s servers.
Watched about the first half this morning before going to the store. Got to the point where the student of the year’s shirtless dad was lurking in the background and started getting interviewed. First, what a fucking weirdo. Gives off weird incest vibes.
My personal experience with DARE was fun when we were introduced in 5th grade. Got us away from normal class. I did win some essay contest on why drugs are bad mkay and got a frisbee which was cool. However I had to read the essay in front of the whole grade which I hated.
We got a tshirt for completing the program. I made it a cutoff at someone and made a point to rock it anytime I was trying a new drug in college.
Wow. I hate that kid. Did he have ‘that’ personality that comes off in this video?
We got very lucky in SE Indiana. Drive which is normally an hour (we went to in laws house) was 1.5.
Clear skies the entire time and a beautiful day in the mid 70s.
My parents flew in south TX thinking they would outsmart the weather and ended up being covered in clouds.
My friend. Revanced is the solution to your troubles.
This is your mom and you are not my baby.
This one is pretty hilarious. I would 100% assume you’re buying booze for people you are way too young to be hanging out with.
I buy a 6 pack of smirnoff ice once per year. My buddy loves golfing on his birthday and I hide ices throughout his bag, cart, and course because even in our mid 30s it’s funny to see someone chug an ice while on one knee.
Nice try 9 out of 10 dentists. /s
Eh not really. I have the yellow Pikachu Gameboy color. But I’m a big Halo fan (hence the username) so I’ve focused on collecting all the Halo special edition Xboxs. Only missing 5 and Infinite. 5 is relatively cheap I just haven’t got it yet and the Infinite Series X is jacked up in price since there were so few made and it was released during the pandemic when sclapers were doing their thing.
Other than than mostly Xbox and Nintendo systems going back to SNES.
A real video game set up. I have 17 consoles in the house and over 450 games.
I even have the old CRT TV with an AV switcher hooked up so I can switch between consoles quickly without having to mess with any wires.
It depends on the company for sure. I’ve noticed a much better delivery time for most things I order nowadays through other companies. 5-7 years ago it would take at least a week for pretty anything to show up. Now most items are 2-3 days.
Fully agree though, it certainly depends on where you live.
Like others have said, they don’t guarantee two days shipping however. Their thing now is if you spend $x per order or pay more, even if you have prime, they’ll overnight it (location dependent).
I live a 20 minute drive from several large amazon warehouses and one of their largest air hubs. When two day shipping was guaranteed, we’d often get most items the next day since it goes out almost immediately and we’re very close. We noticed the last few years most deliveries take two days at least with many being delayed to 3 or 4.
Finding prime less and less of a value I cancelled at the beginning of this month as I was set to auto renew. We’ve ordered two things since. Both items we have received in the past in 1-2 days. Now they take 5-7 days for free shopping, which is fine mind you, but it shows me that rather than shipping the item they are intentionally holding back the order from being picked from the warehouse to create the delay.
Rather than prime adding value, it’s simply providing the regular service, while they intentionally give non-prime members a manufactured worse service to entice them to pay.
Nothing else on prime is worthwhile. Thursday night football sucks and when I do want to watch it if my team is playing I’ll just pirate it. Same goes for anything on prime like The Boys will just get added to the Plex server.
Voice my opinion and participate in local government? Preposterous! /s
They had some public forums on it a couple years ago. I did not go but they did release a survey online shortly after that I completed. Took less than 5 min and I did submit my preference to keep it undeveloped as a park.
I’m gonna catch hate for this but I enjoy golf. I don’t play often, 5-10 times per year at most however nothing beats a day out with the boys, plenty of beer and joints, and smacking lil balls around with crooked sticks.
Having said that my local muni 5 min down the road has 3 18 hole courses. They shut one down a little over 4 years ago and didn’t know what to do with it, so in the meantime, being county owned land, they turned it into a park. They didnt change anything. The first year was odd, it felt like you were walking on a golf course with a broken lawn mower. Now, 4 years later, it’s completely wild and I love it. Some trees have begun to crack and grow through the pathways and there is so much wildlife everywhere from deer to coyotes to birds and so many small mice and chipmunks.
It really is quite peaceful and beautiful out there. The county decided to permanently leave as a park and it feels like a small escape from everyday life. There are about 5 miles of trails as well as a connection to an adjacent park with a couple more miles of wooded trails and a small lake for catch and release fishing. The maintenance there is next to zero and it rarely ever has more than 4 or 5 cars in the lot, making it rare to see anyone out there. I take my dog out there at least 2-3 times per week.
I fully support returning unused land back to nature. It’s quite exciting to see it slowly transform over time.
Competition is good. BYD cars are significantly less expensive than Tesla. It seems most major car manufacturers are pricing their new EVs at least $50-60k+ with a few exceptions. I’m sure US lawmakers will impose tariffs and laws targeting BYD coming into the US allowing US automakers to keep their car prices artificially high for the sake of corporate profit, stifling competition instead of forcing automakers to adapt and reduce pricing.
Just cancelled my prime subscription today. It was set to renew on Friday. I’ve been with prime for close to 10 years.
I don’t see any value. The price has nearly doubled since originally signing up. The free two day shipping was nice but more and more 2 days is 3-4 and I can get free shipping anyway on any order over $35 without prime so I’ll just build up my cart and be patient or order from another place.
The video content was nice but they’re fucking joking if they think I’m going to watch ads or pay $3 more per month to not have ads. I can easily pirate most content including live sports and they’re making it far less convenient to be part of their ecosystem.
I get my books from the library and store my photos locally.
The literal only downside i see is my buddy won’t get his twitch prime subscription from me every month so I guess I’m costing him like $2/month but he’s got several hundred so he’ll do without.
Statute of limitations is why they’re getting off.
