I’m pretty convinced GDD was spawned from a content farm likely in India. Reddit pays for successful content now which just incentivized a bunch subs to orient towards rage bait content. GDD walks the line between open sexism and normal venting, mostly just to piss people off and bait engagement.

Two objectively wrong opinions; all anime is trash, and no anime is trash.

The only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that for the last several decades, Congress only voted for whatever they were bribed to vote for anyways. They’ve never voted one way or the other because they “understood” the subject matter.

They acted corruptly before, they’re acting corruptly now. Nothing has changed.

Something that became very obvious to me when Shorts became so popular - the mega platforms have an endless supply of low quality content they can keep feeding you so long as you keep coming back. The actual good stuff should only last the typical person 30-60 minutes per day, if you spend longer than that, you’re mostly looking at lazy slop.

So yeah the good stuff that does well on Reddit/X, also does well here. But there’s less content so it’s easier to feel like I “ran out”, but in a good way. I ran out of low quality time wasting slop.

That’s what I’m struggling with. X is awful, Reddit is awful, tumblr is awful, and I can’t think of a 4th established platform that fills the nich. This is the closest, which is why I am here.

I got hit by a word filter too. Each individual word was SFW but the combination could be interpreted as hateful (even though it wasn’t in context). So they have some sort of intent-matching system that is poorly implemented, probably piping it through the cheapest haiku model they can access.

The vast majority of Americans have plenty of people to blame.

My rule of thumb is that there is very little point in planning for things that occur >5 years from now. Priorities change, external factors change, and so on.

That said physical health is maybe the single exception.

I’m new to this platform and not finding that in the community or general search. How do I access that?

Nothing would surprise me at this point, Reddit builds a platform that lets you get attached to your account & community and then takes it away without even having a human look at the ban. Total BS

Everytime I think about starting a technical blog I am reminded it will 1) be fed into the meat grinder and 2) people will assume it was a product of the meat grinder.

So for whatever value my technical expertise could provide the world - it won’t. Because AI exists. That’s the only reason.

But reddit rejects people for utter nonsense reasons. If you just use it enough you’ll eventually stumble into something that irks the wrong admin or gets caught by their word filter. So the “Reddit rejected” set is really just a random sampling of power users. Of that set, the hateful degenerates are driven towards X imo.

Reddit being bad? Never.
