Pretty sure this is the incredulous look I give professionals (who have advanced degrees) when they try to tell me how to do my job…
If they knew how to do my job, they wouldn’t have reached out to me.

As a Texan with a wife from Detroit, other than individual little pizzerias, Jets is gonna be the best Detroit style you’ll probably find.
Gotta give it up for Buddy’s in Detroit though.
Detroit really is a great place to get food though.
My BIL, trying to get enough airline miles for something, once flew into Detroit just to eat, then flew back. He is enamored by aviation though, the type of person to go to the airport to watch planes take off and land. Then again, he gets into the centurion club free, so he can wait until the last minute to get to his gate, and get free food and alcohol so maybe he just misses most of the hassles of flying.
I’m not sure the flagging of viewer numbers for super heroes is indicative of people suddenly having better taste or any understanding of the finer points of cinema production.
They’re just burnt out. A glass of water is great if you’re thirsty, but if you’re in the middle of one of the great lakes… Well, too much of a “good” thing. Not that super hero movies were ever good, but they were entertaining for their time. That time seems to have passed by the general public, and Hollywood can’t keep up. Then throw AI becoming a thing to the general public, combined with writers (and now actors) striking and you’ve got a recipe for drek.
That being said, their collective bargaining is inspiring to a regard, and depressing in others.
Unions and strikes work, from a historical point of view. They were just beaten out of Americans and now it seems only the elite and their porcine protectors have access to unions.
As a Texan I can assure the veracity of this statement. I can’t speak for Florida, as my time there was limited to a week in Orlando as a child.
I just remember the tap water tasting like the swamps smelled, which is reason enough for me to avoid Florida without all the gestures wildly in Florida’s direction
If I had the money to blow I wouldn’t give it all to charity… Some, sure, I can think of a few I like.
That being said, after getting my luxury bones fixed and getting out of pain, I’d just buy a house and pay off my car.
Then retire. Probably move somewhere tropical… Or isolated, haven’t decided. Maybe both is possible. All I know is a fiber (or future equivalent) would be mandatory.
Because if I have 450k to just blow, I’ve got way more in reserve.
Factorio is one of those few games (rim world too) that I can sit down and not realize that HOURS are flying by.
For that alone, Factorio is a must have for anyone who enjoys base building aspects in other games. Also, there is multiplayer on PC. At least with mods it’s possible.
Objectivity is difficult when your empanada hookup’s husband died in this heat.
I didn’t know the family well, let alone the husband, but their family is in mourning because of laws like these.
There is blood on Abbot’s (and his ilk’s) hands and that family will likely never see justice served. So do tell me how laws, even federal laws, protect us if they are not actively enforced?
As a Texan, I’d love to see these anti-human murderers see some justice.
Sadly, I doubt I’ll see the day.
Tell that to the twice impeached former president. He not only put himself up in what he considered luxury, but he also placed the secret service in that same hotel at the tax payers expense while charging extortionate rates, just because he could.
