How young are the kids in question here? Did you get born knowing how to use a printer?

61·9 days agoThis article mentions that they took the scene out of the final version of the game. It also mentions that the dev claims that the young girl model was just a placeholder, which just raises the question of why they would use a child as a placeholder in such a scene.

7·9 days agoRegardless of a developer’s intentions with their product, we will not distribute content that appears, in our judgment, to depict sexual conduct involving a minor.
Steam doesn’t usually have a problem with gore.
day six featured a scene in which a man and his young daughter visit the farm. The daughter wants to ride one of the horses, resulting in an interactive dialogue sequence where the girl rides on the shoulders of a naked “horse” while it’s led by the player.
I can see how this might’ve been interpreted as sexual.
Edit just in case: There’s a lot of shady shit Valve does that you could criticize. This is just blatant attention-seeking.

Gaming@beehaw.org•Valve responds as indie horror studio accuses Steam of 'censorship' for banning its game about nude human 'Horses' (Update)
37·9 days agoTLDR: There was a scene in a prerelease version of the game that depicted a young girl riding on the shoulders of a nude adult woman. Valve interpreted it as sexual, devs say it wasn’t, that the young girl model was a placeholder, and removed the scene entirely from the release build, which still can’t be published on Steam due to their ban policy.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Was Hitler wrong at least on the Jew part?
7·19 days agoYou’re taking the actions of a government and applying it to an entire religion.
It’s like asking if Germany doing the Holocaust (and a whole bunch of other Christian nations doing fucked up shit) justifies killing all Christians or Turkey genociding Armenians (and a whole bunch of other Muslim nations doing fucked up shit) justifies killing all Muslims or any Government doing any genocide justifies killing everyone who shares their Religion with that government.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some gross or disgusting facts about the human body that people aren't aware of?
5·20 days agoThere’s a lot of things people find disgusting for no rational reason. That’s also part of being human. People don’t have full control over their emotions.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some gross or disgusting facts about the human body that people aren't aware of?
3·20 days agoBut this isn’t about what you find disgusting about your body specifically, but about the human body in general. Things you don’t really think about until someone mentions them. Like how there’s probably tiny bugs living on you right now.

I think it’s because in the UK they start counting (regularly) with the index finger, so the regular binary two would look unnatural in context
In the image he isn’t using his thumb to count, so 2 would be the middle finger.
I think it goes away after a month, not sure though

You can criticize a government without wanting to overthrow them.

As far as I understand it’s just chemicals that don’t decompose (within a reasonable timespan), meaning they may stay in your body forever, which is usually a bad thing.
