Sounds like db0 will be where I migrate to then, TY Blaze!
Is there a tool for comparing Lemmy instances in regards to their federation policies?
Ironically, that lemm.ee still federated with .ml, hexbear, and lemmygrad was one of the primary factors for me deciding to move my account there from lemmy.world. I want to be a part of an instance that federates with those communities and then I can just block individual communities and accounts on a case-by-case basis from my account.
I messaged sunaurus a year ago about potentially being a mod, and he told me it’d be difficult and I ended up chickening out. Now I wish I had stepped up also
Some form of Gateway PC that was still running Windows 95 until my grandpa had me update it to 98. My other grandparents then got an early Apple iBook which was pretty awesome at the time as well.
I can’t compete with most of these stories, but here’s an example from my life anyway. I had minor oral surgery (gum graft) but they didn’t get the lidocaine injections quite right so I felt a lot of the cutting and stitching as they were doing it. I just white-knuckled it so it’d be over sooner. Then I had to refrain from eating solid food for 2 weeks which also sucked.
I did when Mac Miller ODed, actually. Another friend of mine had also ODed somewhat recently and I was a huge fan of Mac’s music.
I just installed cachyOS last weekend after getting an RTX 5070 Ti and chose the open driver during the installation and everything is working perfectly, including resume from sleep
Geez that was a quick two years
Great vid! I would’ve greatly appreciated watching this if I were new to Linux. It sounds like my Linux journey has been similar to the person in the video’s. I’m satisfied with Arch but am currently dipping my toes in Gentoo and NixOS
This is what I did and I absolutely love the thing! It’s so much faster than any other flash drive for file transfers. I think it’s a USB 3.1 Gen 2/SuperSpeed USB 10 Gbps enclosure
I know the adage “if it’s stupid and it works, it’s not stupid” is a thing, but this might be the exception to the rule
TIL these guys went extinct 40 million years before the advent of dinosaurs
I bought a Synology a couple of years ago and it has been 100% rock solid the whole time. Synology OS is nice, their hybrid RAID is pretty sweet, and I’ve gotten many containers working with no issues (like the Servarr stack). But knowing that the company is enshittifying, I might not buy another product from them
Can anyone recommend a Remote Desktop client for macOS, preferably something free and with tabs?
“What, you think some bitch-ass college boy came up with this shit!?” had me in tears
Ooh damn I haven’t played this yet. I wonder if I can get this playing on my Steam deck
