The billionaire owned media trying to make people care about that guy is gonna backfire horribly…

School shooters barely make statewide news these days, two people tried to kill a presidential candidate at months ago and that wasn’t even a huge deal, but a CEO who just walks around in public gets you nationwide coverage for days and the public on your side?

Especially with the shit that trump brings and the fact that Republican politicians are no longer the dog, they’ve jumped in the mail truck and started driving it…

I don’t think Trump can control his most extreme followers, and historically it’s pretty common for that fringe to turn against leaders if they don’t go all out.

There’s a good chance this guy ends up going down in history as the equivalent to Columbine.

  • The media is treating it like a national tragedy, Walz was giving his condolences for some reason, and so are lots of other politicians.

It’s like when those billionaires all died in that submarine and the powerful people that run the media and politics treated it as some huge event and spent crazy money investigating.

They acted like it’s was 9/11, because to them $'s are what matters, so when one person with the same amount of $ as 100,000 people, they act like 100,000 average people die.

Do you not see that? The difference between how a wealthy person and a poor person are treated?

America used to have wealth worship, people still to some extent go to the Biltmore mansion to marvel at how nice robber barons lived centuries ago, or binge watch Downtown Abbey. But nowadays the vast amount of people upon hearing something bad happened to a billionaire, will at best say they dont give a fuck.

The contrast between what people are saying, and what they’re told by their leaders and the media isn’t jivving. And it’s obvious.

    Look at history…

When societies are at the stage we are now, very very few bare any resemblance to that in just a decade or two. For better or worse, shit is likely to substantially change soon.

    Edit:

To put it as simple as possible, the masses are told implicitly every day they don’t matter and only the wealthy do. Eventually people will start acting like their lives really don’t matter.

Which is bad for everyone, and has been happening for a while now. We’re just approaching the tipping point where “crashing out” is the majority opinion

  • As of about a month ago there had been ~320 murders in NYC this year.

Yet this single one has captured the media’s attention nationwide and cops seem to be heavily focused on this one.

Because modern society at pretty much every institutional level sees the wealthy and powerful as not just more important than us, but they dont even see us. Hell, compare this to school shootings that only make local news now.

Historically, societies like this end in an incredibly brutal fashion. And until the wealthy and powerful really can build terminator style robot armies…

The masses are always going to win.

It’s kind of the natural consequences of hyper concentration of a finite and essential resource. People rarely sit around and starve voluntarily, and once the majority are starving, people start acting like a mob.

We see it day to day over minor stuff where people just refuse to follow societial norms. Everyday we’re shown that rules don’t really matter, and none of the people who matter are held accountable. If someone isn’t physically stopped from doing something, they take that as permission. Hell, that was the defense of most 1/6ers.

The social contract was invalidated a long time ago, people are just now realizing it. And that’s the only thing that really seperates us from animals.

Crashing out is gonna be the norm pretty fucking soon, I don’t think we have 4 years or that trump will be able to hold society together.

There’s a very high chance we’re gonna live in some interesting times.

  • A suppressor takes some of the “umph” out of it.

With a (semi) automatic the slide uses pressure of the bullet exiting to eject and load the next bullet.

Even with a silencer, a standard 9mm cracks the sound barrier, unless you use subsonic bullets that move slower, which exacerbates the problems cycling.

Now there is the Welrod pistol which requires you to rotate the back of the gun manually, this makes the gun honestly “movie quiet” where it’s literally not noticable. Someone makes a new model now with the same style of integrated suppressor, it even comes with a more regular style suppressor for. The “movie quiet” one has to be sent to the company and rebuilt like every 300 rounds.

Something like what is used in the video would still be a noticable noise, not just immediately recognized as a gunshot. It’s just a regular semiautomatic modern handgun with a suppressor on it.

  • It isn’t pragmatic for Canada to lash itself to Mexico under these circumstances

I’d argue the opposite. America needs Mexico, we don’t need Canada.

Trudeau could have easily allied with Mexico and likely could have used shipping lanes to bypass America and been fine.

But Canada alone is fucked. And they publicly turned against Mexico and now have to agree to Trump’s demands, and we all know they’ll be ridiculous.

For a prison analogy, Canada just gave their Peanut Butter and Jelly away without a fight, and Mexico pulled out a shiv when Trump looked at them. trump is a bully and will focus on the easy lick that showed weakness and fear of confrontation.

I swear to God for as much shit as people give when you get a psychology degree, it’s insanely frustrating when world leaders don’t know the shit everyone learns in highschool from the football coach.

  • This is Mexico standing up for itself.

What Trudeau did was act like a biggity bitch and played right into Trump’s hands.

If America really shuts the border down completely, Mexico is the real winner. The cartels are only there to smuggle into America, and the guns come back over in exchange for drugs. Also when Obama was doing it…

Stop the flow of drugs and guns across the border, and the cartels will go somewhere else where the action is.

Like, straight up. Mexico has a win/win here, and a president willing to call Trump’s bluff

  • It’s telling you say this now and not when Trudeau started it…

Even before Trump’s announcement, the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, and a handful of provincial premiers had mused openly about cutting Mexico out of future trade talks, instead pivoting towards a Canada-US trade pact – a move that Mexico’s lead negotiator called a “betrayal”.

There was/is a three way trade deal, and before Trump’s even in office he was openly saying US and Canada can just drop Mexico…

That’s incredibly fucked when the real move is for Canada and Mexico to lock arms and force trump to the table.

They’re the only land border, and a key piece in disguising products as “made in America”.
