I would Google it, but the only approved result is a 12-page Party document explaining why mass starvation is actually a consequence of exceptionally bad weather and poor logistics.

They keep removing features in the name of “innovation” while putting more stuff in there that the market is actively telling them they don’t want.
I always put off buying a new phone for this exact reason. It feels like every iteration further strips users of the ability to remove telemetry, AI bullshit, or bloatware. I’m not paying out hundreds of dollars for a dedicated advertisement displayer that spies on me.

It’s funny how thrift and frugality will ruin the economy for everyone but gambling with other people’s homes and retirement funds is good business sense.

It worked out fine. I prefer having a soul that wasn’t assembled by a five-year-old for twelve cents an hour.

We might be oblivious to the killing, but at least we can Google it.

It’s amazing how your moral compass always points to “anti-West”’ isn’t it? Almost as impressive as your ability to find a conspiracy behind every genuinely bad regime. What’s next, are you going to tell us the Uyghur prison camps were faked by the CIA to distract from Pyongyang’s superior rice farming techniques?

Its like ethics and morality don’t matter to capitalists when there is a despot with big coffers to appease.

It’s almost like poor people buy cheap shoes because they can’t afford quality shoes.

I don’t have any Nikes, so I’m going to go buy some and then burn them to show that I’m boycotting them!

“National Bestseller”
Only because the publisher astroterfed sales by ordering thousands of copies of their own book. I doubt anyone who would believe this hysterical bullshit is much of reader.

Sir, this is not a place for horses.

The quality of the man-made materials has diminished. People have complained that the plastics literally flake off and crack after about 6 months of wear and tear. The stitching is pretty weak, too.

I resolved never to buy or wear Nike back in the late 90s. The companies practices are abominable but I also hated the culture of conspicuous consumption and the way people believed it gave them license to shit on others for not turning themselves into a walking ad. I grew up poor, so I know the feeling of being made to feel less-than because I got Pro Wings on instead of Jordans.

Funny how the real pattern is countries adopting your ideology immediately needing an external boogeyman to explain why their people are starving.

Western propaganda just tells me what to buy; yours told millions of people they didn’t need food.

They’re happening in the gap between your dog-eared copy of The State and Revolution and the annual starvation rate of North Koreans.

The one valuable thing DOGE showed is is what happens when you put a 19 year old broccoli-haired dog shit person in governance.

You mean the ‘education’ that teaches you how to report your neighbors, build the re-education camps, and thank Dear Leader for the privilege of not being sent there yet?
I went to a Target on black friday once and I’ll never do it again. I always thought the shit about screaming matches and physical fights were just anomalies that got blown out of proportion by the media. I changed my mind after watching adults snatch popular toys from each others hands and one guy getting a haymaker to the side of his head for trying to take a flat-screen out of another dude’s cart and put it in his.
