  • There dont seem to be any particularly effective ones.

In my experience malwareis just so different in linux tho, like. Malicious udev rules, bpfdoor, that ssh things hears ago that allowed someone to basically eavesdrop on anything that was right there in the code.

If someone manages to get something malicious running on linux it’s a different ballgame from wjndows - theres so much bash everywhere that can be modified to do nasty things.

Im not saying an antivirus is a bad idea on linux or anything - but there really doesnt seem to be anything decent.

Clamav seems like the only game in town. And i have nonidea how effective that is anyway

  • I hate the stigma around sex work.

I also hate the whole parasocial aspect of onlyfans and the like.

    But.

    “Hey honey, how’s work going?”

“Oh its alright. I got some pretty good traction in my last video. I swallowed a foot long dildo while i stretched out my ass with anhuge butt plug. I had no idea my ass could take so much”

sniff “im so proud of you honey”

  • Good thing the only way to bring anything to their attention is to somehow convince a beat officer who is dumber than a fucking bag of hammers that the highly technical issue youve noticed is accurate, and the have a detective who is about as tech savvy as a porto potty that the highly technical thing is illegal and real, who if youre lucky will pass it on to the fraud squad, whether or not your issue has fucking anything to do with fraud, who will then, if you’re lucky, and if you can keep down the three layer burrito of shit fuck stupid and ego you’ve eaten, MAY pass it along to the RCMP who might have someone that can understand the issue.

How the fuck is any of this taking these risks seriously?

  • Something I haven’t seen anyone else here (that probably won’t matter if you’re just doing basic gaming) is that bazzite is what is called an atomic distro - meaning that key system files are immutable (they can’t be altered) and certain directories are also read only.

It means that installing packages with a package manager can be a little bit trickier. Setting up a dev environment can be tricky. And certain other things can be more difficult.

There’s a huge chance this won’t matter at all to you, but in the event you run into issues like “this directory is read only” or something along those lines, that’ll be why.

Again, may never matter but something to keep in mind.
