Hold up. You write? By hand? At work? In 2026? And you’re not jailed for that?

Android@lemmy.world•Google and Epic give up fighting — third-party Android app stores are coming next weekEnglish
22·20 hours agoUnless they completely ditch (or be forced to ditch) the developer notarization crap they’re pushing for, all these talks and “registered appstores” will stay just pure bullshit to distract you from what’s important: https://keepandroidopen.org/

Technology@lemmy.world•What Does a 13-Year-Old See on Snapchat in a Normal Week?English
5·5 days agoPrecisely. Take care of your kid, don’t offload your job to corporations, cause then it will become their kid, not yours.
Is this some kind of a personal attack or something?

31·5 days agoNo need to worry! Soon they’ll bring mandatory age/identity verifcation, and the kids won’t see such content randomly… they’ll be specifically targeted with it xD

Oh, Endurain is cool, I didn’t know about it, thanks! I don’t need it though (lol), but it’s cool.
I have a few Garmin devices used exclusively with Gadgetbridge and pretty happy about it. Early implementation had quite some bugs, but current one is much more stable and polished. There are still issues and limitations, e.g. custom watchfaces installed from their store refuse to work after X days without connection to the official app (manually installed .prg files work fine), but overall I’m not going back to official apps already.
