It’s actually kind of a drawback sometimes. Super Metroid for instance is pretty awkward to play since it’s hard to hold B and press Y at the same time 😅

I have a decade old Buffalo famicom-style controller with ABXY just like in your photo, although mine is wired. I’ve opened it and adjusted the Dpad by partially covering the contacts with tape, and I swear it’s the best Dpad I’ve ever used. I’ve also got an 8bitdo FC30 Pro but I rarely use it nowadays.
I think my first raspberry pi got to 500-ish days before we had a power outage
I haven’t played my GameCube since it was current, but recently I installed the picoboot mod which lets me load games off of a microSD card. Haven’t actually sat down to play anything yet but I’ve booted Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia just to confirm that it works 😎
The graphics blow Kirby’s Adventure out of the water!
And it doesn’t seem to have much (if any) slowdown. Impressive!
Mother 1 is my favorite, it’s got such a unique atmosphere. Some of my more recent favorites include the Valis series (bishoujo action platformers), and Monster World IV (action platformer with light RPG elements). I’m big on aesthetics and those games really appealed to me!
The pads look intact, which makes it a much easier repair than it could have been.
