35·10 天前woah there… i’ve known nice rats
huh, thanks, never heard of that ^^
i mean… to be fair… when i visited my hometown in poland in 1998… it really still looked very much like 1980 was still looming around the corner… it wasnt the 18th hundred but i loved it for its gritty “you want sweets? how about a nice refreshing glass of last summers compote from gramps allotment?”. silly nostalgia of course but yeah…
here nobody uses it anyway, so i dont even log on :3

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•SOLVED: Is it in any way incorrect to interpret a downvote as a "fuck you" in a 1-on-1 convo?
2·27 天前im not sure what to tell you as you already pointed out the obvious caveat yourself with that edit…
maybe you could try using an instance without a downvote button… at least blajah.zone had that i think
im not trying to invalidate your opinionated observation but afaict most people use the downvote to convey disagreement more than anything. i can remember a couple of interactions where the downvotes had felt like what you describe, but thinking back, it was always in one or another certain community (also it was on that shitty, commercial lemmy-knockoff) so maybe the users there were just very opinionated against my opinions 🤷
added: pardon me, that was blahaj.zone actually
give it a couple decades of manpower and eventually it will become viable
even if you grabbed all the code available on a ps3, there is no way in hell to make a x86_64 machine run a program compiled for a powerpc cpu except by emulation or just-in-time-recompilation… good luck

science@lemmy.world•Scientists built a solar reactor that eats plastic bottles and burps out clean hydrogen . . .at scale.
11·1 个月前from the article (https://www.nature.com/articles/s44286-026-00406-y) linked in the article:
Besides H2 evolution, the oxidation products from the photocatalytic reforming process were also analyzed using ion chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The major oxidation products detected after 22 h were formate and acetate (from pretreated cellulose), as well as glycolaldehyde (GAld) dimer and glycolate (from pretreated PET),
weird, we didnt see the “not” there at first…

11·2 个月前to you, a nationally limited socialism is not equal to nazism, to me the distinction is negligible. if you think we (as in all humans) are not the same, then we truly are not.
read the thread with a sober mind and point to one person other than wpb that didnt call me names or made an effort to project their opinions on my comments but rather asked what i was talking about. all in all i am left with the impression that this community seems to prefer calling names over having civilized discussions
i kept giving you the benefit of the doubt, but watching you cheer with your peers over how “this person seemingly doesnt know the difference between such distinctive ideologies” … yeah no, i dont think i want to talk to you (plural) anymore. you (singular), kept it relatively civil, so i wish you (+wpb) a nice day.
and a whole day of 100% packet loss for the rest :3

11·2 个月前and what makes you think i dont know that?
my point is: if he disliked communism, but flirted with fascism, perhaps he was never really talking about international communism at all but only ever conceived of the notion of a nationally limited socialism. or nazism if you like, but needless contractions of words wont get you anywhere closer to understanding what i am talking about if all you can think about is “gotcha”

2·2 个月前to me “you can’t have communism and billionaires” in reply to “you cant have both democracy and billionaires” sounds more like “but what if i was the billionaire?” than “and thats the way it should be!”
hence my comment.

11·2 个月前heinlein was opposed to communism and flirted with fascist ideas, coming to the conclusion that when he was talking about communism it was most likely some form of nationalized subtype isnt that far off. hence the ending

31·2 个月前now that you got that out of your system, perhaps you could think about the topic and explain what you meant to actually say instead of calling us names?
we’ll wait.
please take your time, don’t rush it. we know coming up with an actual argument is hard.
