It’s only if a person doesn’t have a proof of citizenship, they can sign a sworn affidavit to register or vote, which will be checked by attorney general office after elections.

This looks to me as a solid system already. One cannot vote by impersonating someone else, one cannot vote if you are not living in the district, one can only lie about citizenship with a significant risk of that lie to be exposed after elections with all legal consequences.

Unless you belive that damn liberals moving buses of illegals with forged IDs to steal the elections, there is nothing much to be worried about.

No, I didn’t say that. It depends on your risk model. If you are an average Joe don’t worry that services are charging your credit card. If you are hiding from government then better use less online services, and if you must then find ones that accept crypto

TLDR: “privacy” services can’t be bothered and you shouldn’t too if you are not doing illegal stuff.

These “privacy-oriented” services are businesses that need to earn money, not scare away potential clients and avoid legal issues. Accepting cash or crypto is a risk for legal and accounting reasons. They just don’t think it’s worth it.

Now, to link a particular activity on a particular service with you via your payment is not a trivial task. Government can do it, but it really matters if you think you are or will be targeted by it. Data miners can correlate bank payment with an account at a service provider only if both bank and service provider sell or leak data, which is less likely if you are using a privacy a oriented service.

I’ve seen a concept of an airplane that can eject sections of it’s hull, each equipped with a large parachute. This can solve the problem of “how to put parachutes on each passenger including kids, disabled and panicked and teach them how to use it”. Also it doesn’t require the plane to maintain certain height, speed or angle for parachuting.

But of course it will add extra weight to carry, because not only they’ll need to install big parachutes, but also ejection system and something to seal off ejectable sections.

I’m running Nextcloud from a Turnkey LXC template that’s available in Proxmox. Runs solid, I have no complaints for performance or stability. But upgrades are manual and very involved. It’s not too complicated, but there is always something that needs extra attention or troubleshooting. I also wasn’t able to figure out Turnkey migration toolset that they suggest to use for major upgrades, such as to new version of OS.

Unfortunatelly I cannot compare the quality with what it was in good olden days, but Panera is my family go to place whenever we are on the road. It’s the only place I know in US where you can quickly get a decent salad or soup with predictable quality, and not a bad one. And being a large network I can find it practically anywhere.

Soups and salads in other common eateries, like diners etc are usually awful.

I have Odroid-N2 with CoreELEC. Works as my media center in living room, but I use it only to stream video from my jellyfin server.

Try gentle, natural sounds in your alarm. Bird songs, sound if rain, etc. Many alarm apps have an option to start very quiet and increase volume gradually, that may help

This could be caused by the training dataset cutoff date. These models are not being trained on real time, so they don’t have information about recent events. War in Ukraine is lasting longer than 2 years already, and the current Gazan conflict is relatively recent. My quick search didn’t find what Gemini dataset cutoff date is.

I wonder if that brings changes to the membership tiers. I pay more for Executive membership to get 2% cashback, but if they will not scan my membership on the checkout how would they know how much I’ve spent?

A company would use a Microsoft 365 plan that includes Outlook for Office 365, not a Windows Mail app. An the MS365 agreement would come with protections of company data from sharing with advertisers.

In other words, I wouldn’t worry if my company used Outlook. But never log in to your private mailbox from a corporate device.
