That weeklong “truce” really says it all about Israel.

I think it’s usually done to let them pretend their being impartial and “equal opportunity” despite never really intending to be. I personally think it’s bullshit, internal promotions are totally valid and shouldn’t be seen as favoritism (unless the candidate is wildly unqualified).
A lighter iris color correlates with higher light sensitivity and better low light vision. The higher density of pigment in a darker iris blocks light better.
Yeah there would almost certainly be a bunch of comments asking about what show it is and a bunch more espousing how great it is.
Having worked at a Target like this, I can assure you there is still a lack of inventory on top of these stores being extremely short staffed. Target in particular completely eliminated their storeroom staff a few years ago and just doubled the work load of the floor staff. Both the floor and the storeroom were absolute nightmares to navigate because there were not enough people to actually organize and stock.
They always view those to the left as extremists who can’t be negotiated with, while those to the right are seen as useful idiots who can be exploited for political gain. See the conservative parties in Nazi Germany for how that “useful idiot” thing tends to work out.
From what I’ve read, they will do everything in their power to ruin someones life and career if they publicly leave Scientology. That’s not even denouncing it, just saying you’re not a part of it anymore.
Also people keep saying they want a “truthful apology”, but if her statement is honest then she doesn’t have much to apologize for. She said he was a friend, but then immediately stopped supporting him after hearing the evidence. I think most people would have done the same. So far though it’s all just their word vs. hers so I’m holding out on any real judgement until some kind of evidence of something comes out.
It opens the run dialog, which I’m sure the vast majority of Windows users have never heard of. This would trick a lot of people who just trust whatever their computer asks them to do.
Maine has a minimum wage pegged to inflation. It worked out great for us the last few years, since 2020 it’s gone up by $2.15.
I also have ADHD (and know a lot of people with it) and totally agree. We may be hard to understand at times, but we have a clear line of tangents that can be explained. Trump on the other hand has no coherence or traceable train of thought. He just jumps between half-finished, completely unrelated thoughts.
to be honest the GOP lost the chance to be free of Trump when their senators refused to convict him after the Jan 6 impeachment.
I think they lost their chance when he won in 2016. He has so thoroughly captured their base that ousting him would certainly lose them the next several elections, if they ever could fully recover. That’s not to say it’s not 100% on the GOP, he’s the consequence of decades of pandering to the far-right. I’m convinced they could have gotten rid of him before 2016 as well, but the conservatives thought they could control Hitler again and now he’s got them by the balls.
I think this would make more sense if it were connected to public education somehow. Lots of high schools already require community service hours to graduate, turn that into a program where third and fourth year students spend some time in school and some time doing some kind of public service work. Though It would need to be more of an educational thing than actual paid work.
It’s hard to run any Unity/Unreal game in 4k on my 1070
Both of these engines are capable of making very optimized games, it’s just that most of the developers using them either don’t have the expertise or don’t care to put in the effort.
The victim “pressing charges” is just a fancy way of saying reporting the crime. It’s not something that needs to happen for the prosecutor to file a criminal complaint. Though, in a case like this they would probably rely on the victim’s testimony, so there may not be a case if she doesn’t want to cooperate.
I’m willing to bet that’s the goal on Harris’ part. The Democrats have finally found that the way to unravel him is just belittle him rather than giving him any measure of power. If the debate goes forward unmuted, she just has to be dismissive and call him weird/old/whatever and I guarantee he’ll fly off the handle.
Probably millions of dead. The American Civil War only lasted four years and the death toll is somewhere between 650,000 and 1.5 million. A modern war would either be extremely quick or a long running insurgency that ends up with potentially millions dead.
Which, again, is an incredibly unlikely attack vector unless you have some government secrets on your computer. And chances are that any attack through the IME or PSP is trying to do an implant into the UEFI/BIOS and not the processor itself.
CPU firmware exploits are incredibly rare, if there even are any that exist beyond proof-of-concept. The chances of getting an infected CPU from this is so unlikely it’s practically impossible.
If I understand it correctly, the chip has the vulnerability, but the malware would be installed on the motherboard in the form of a bootkit. So getting a used CPU is not a threat, but getting a used motherboard is (and kind of always has been) a risk.
That’s the whole Republican strategy at this point. They realized that any publicity, no matter how crazy they have to be to get it, ultimately benefits them. No matter how well Walz performed, no matter how reasonable and objectively right he is, Vance gets the publicity through his nonstop lies.
