  • Reading all of this in depth while silently sipping across my leaf-green cup of hot 3-in-1 coffee in the morning, I’m now seeing almost the whole picture with the new TenForward online hub-raft and the reasons for its founding. ValSub, as evidenced by the screenshots and credible anecdotes by others experiencing the ire at the supposed mod overreach on that particular instance, has come off to me as bespoke of a too passionate fan enthusiast, much like that of Dream SMP of a few years prior, while exhibiting multiple instances of verified victim complex. Even though the original intent of said instance is to have a fair ground for all to discuss and meme their watched Star Trek content, including fanworks (Happy International Fanworks Day, after all!) of every type.

In the end, as a fellow recent Fediversian myself, I take sympathy towards not only you, Stamets, but also to the countless others who have been fed up with the sudden debauchery of such a rogue, highly-agitated mod person for weeks on end.
May the Federation prosper, even through understandable disagreements and hardships, as well as triumphs and camaderie, both large and small.

  • Even I beforehand, before I took on my first day at college some months ago, realized how crapsack (for lack of a better term) the world actually is, especially for neurodivergent young adults like me, and how many others in my age range would rather go hikokomori and focus on doing their own creative thing rather than serve the uninspired and haughty. Some deal with unbridled anger, others with anguish, others with keeping a false positive façade, while others try to keep it neutral and normal under the hood…

Maybe that’s why one of my recent favorite tracks nowadays comes from the OMORI OST, that being “It Means Everything”. Alongside Derivakat’s newest EP yet, they convey what it means to be both confused and so distraught with anger from all the hardships we face in our later teenage stage of life, including the ever-increasing “I-don’t-care-about-everything-anymore” attitude prevalent amongst teenagers and YAs, especially with troubled childhoods and broken friendships.

  • Hey there, also calling back from kbin.social as some of the commenters in this mini-raft.
Although most of the politics posts can be a bit of an eyesore to most of us here, I found comfort in this instance, even going so far as to establish some new mags for my ephemeral interests, one for the musico-archivist Derivakat herself, of which I have grown tired of continually building as my college era began to set in, up until this point.

As for private small-group convos, I’m also mulling moving on to revolt.chat along with a few others in my own Discord server if ever its fires start blazing forth.
