Myth busters had to be the worst offender in that realm. “here a 2 minute recap of that things you just saw 5 minutes ago.”
I think we say developing countries now.
In Chicago all the big taxi companies have apps
Same here, I still do a lot of complex problem solving and modeling but excel/python handles a lot of the dirty work for me.
My favorite is summoning salt.
I can hear him say it with the music and everything. Great scene.
Try smaller businesses maybe? Corporate isn’t for everyone.
I got hired for two simple tasks and quickly realized the company (being small) was lacking in a lot of areas I specialize in or am passionate about. I started doing all these extra things and I got a lot of recognition and $$$ in return. I also don’t hate my job, it’s a small team and we all get along great.
That’s something, lol. I’m not irreplaceable but it would be an absolute clusterfuck if I left, at least for a while.
I do a good job of documenting everything but so much of my work relies on scripts that I wrote and never properly deployed - a mix of python and VBA, and all my reporting relies on an API connection that nobody else maintains and other than a handful of queries I shared, nobody really knows how to use it.
I’m not trying to be shitty but it’s job security.
Epee, Oreo, era, isle, ore… Lol
Thanks crossword puzzles!
These come up pretty often for some reason.
Or you type into Google “what’s the song that goes dun dundun dooo dodododo dooo” and you somehow get the right result because some other monkey asked the same question on a message board and by some stroke of luck got an answer.
This worked for the funeral dancing song because I couldn’t remember what it was from but it was stuck in my head for a week.
Yeah I had a slight leg up I worked as a CNA in the trauma/burn ICU all through college so a lot of practical skills were second nature but yeah we were expected to know a lot of things that weren’t taught in lecture or practicals.
Bless you, I got a useless degree and went back to school in my late 20s to get my RN I did one semester and dropped out because it was so awful.
Nursing instructors eat their own, it was a terrible experience. It wasn’t humbling but humiliating. I stumbled into success in business but I still think about nursing school a lot. One of my realest failures where I straight up tapped out.
I was told these would blow off my fingers.
Fuck yeah, I’m blasting some knee caps on the way out. Murder would be a mercy at that point.
Guys she’s wearing a jumper. A skin tight one 😂
Ultimately they’ve pissed off both sides with how they handled pride this year and last year.
Damn BC is gorgeous I didn’t realize where you were. I’m used to seeing trail maps like that in Illinois US and it’s just a dirt path through some trees and around a man made lake. I gotta drive about 3 hours to get to anywhere with interesting geography - mostly glacial lakes and valleys in the Midwest.
I grew up in Colorado I miss the Rockies, they’re truly magical.
But yeah rock climbers love giving crags and routes stupid pun names, it’s charming.
Terrible situation. I had a temp come work for me that had fled from Ukraine. I judged the situation at first, but I considered what I would do in his situation. I’d like to think I’d stay and fight, but we only get one life. My guy was just trying to to survive.
