News stopped using it, seems WorldNews is the only community left not listening to its users wishes.
The bot is also the personal project of one of the admins of Lemmy.world, so it’ll probably never go away as long as the admin can abuse their position to force others to keep it and go around closing all threads talking negatively of it, whilst giving a tone-deaf response to all criticism of the bot.
This is like a 30 minute beginner’s API project. If that admin is married to it, they have bad priorities.
No people don’t understand, we only hate it because of other bots. Totally nothing else :/
