You don’t have to think about that very long to see something strange.
A line spinning around a common point must go slower in the middle and faster on the ends, just to keep up and even be a line of things.
If the whole line maintains a uniform speed, the middle will complete a rotation much faster than the edges, and what was a line shortly becomes a spiral.
