This looks alright. Although I found that in contradiction to the producers expectations, I am excited by the appearance of everything new, and all the cameos by old characters and actors make me groan.
I love Patrick Stewart and the gang, but they’re done. They had their stories and they got their conclusions (repeatedly). Same with Steve Rogers. He does not belong.
I don’t mind an ‘oh shit _____ is back!’ occasionally, when it makes sense. But to me, it now largely serves as a weight on these stories. It’s a sign that the writers don’t have time or confidence in their protagonists or developing characters.
I want to see Yalena, and New Cap, and Doom, and Namor! I want to see the FF and Gambit. I’m down to see Thor, because his character continues to grow, and his presence makes narrative sense. I want to see Thor filling the role as team leader, and the weight of all he’s been through appear in that performance. But please, no more ‘oh shit ____ is back!’

PS: Oh! and more Ironheart. Her show sucked, but I’m still down with Ironheart! Give us more of Riri from Wakanda Forever!
