Way to demean people busting their ass for your lazy ass who can’t cook for themselves. You realize these people work in stressful situations and aren’t just “flipping the burger” right? They deserve a living wage.

I never said they didn’t deserve a higher wage but people complain about price of things. If you want living wages for all you need to be prepared to pay for it

Why can’t the family of FiveGuys (all brothers) take less profit, pay their people a reasonable wage, and keep their prices reasonable for their customers?

Why have we accepted that customers have to pay more, and workers have to receive less, just so a few people can become even more obscenely rich than they already are?

If you are buying a second yacht or plane, while your workers are working multiple jobs and are on public assistance, you need to have your entire estate confiscated.

Political backing is growing. At the beginning of this year, hardly anyone knew what a Democratic Socialist was, and now a third of Democrats identify that way, a third of Democrats are scared shitless, and the other third is clueless.

The movement toward Leftist Activism is growing so quickly, that both sides are scared of it. The 2026 Progressives are where the Tea Party was in 2010, and the Tea Party turned into MAGA, and took over. Now the Dems have the opportunity to do the same thing, except use their power for good.

Keeping the new ruling Dems on the right track to help the workers, and the not the Sociopathic Oligarchs, will be the mission after that.

That’s no excuse. They could keep prices the same, and collect less profit.

That’s the problem, Americans have accepted that they should take the cut in pay to make the corporate ownership wealthy, even if it means their own lives are miserable.

Instead, workers should be demanding that 75% of the corporate profits that THEY EARNED, should be distributed to the workers on a quarterly basis. Ownership will learn to learn to live on what’s left.

      That’s what UNIONS are for.

      UNIONIZE EVERYTHING!

Minimum wage should absolutely be a livable wage. Go direct your comments to the billionaire class stealing all the wealth.

I agree, not sure why everybody assumed I didn’t think people didn’t deserve a living wage. I do. But at the same time be prepared to pay more for things because we all know that corporations will pass along the better wages to the consumer. God forbid the ceo make less and not making record profit

Even if you didn’t intend for that comment to come across that way, just know that the reasoning of “prices are going up because of minimum wage” is the go-to talking point of the “conservatives”. Magically the wealth disparity, negligible marginal tax rate on billionaires, or record profits never seem to be mentioned.

I do believe that’s what it used to mean at one point. And it wasn’t just a livable wage as in “well, you won’t die,” like it meant something. Now, it’s simply the lowest amount these companies are legally allowed to pay you w/o using loopholes.

Chris Rock said that Minimum Wage is your boss telling you that he wants to pay you less, but IT’S AGAINST THE LAW!
