Everyone in the US should start getting colonoscopies at 45, the recommended age. Colon cancer is quite preventable if you catch it early, and insurance is legally required to cover preventative screenings after that age.
If you have a family history of colon cancer in a first degree relative, talk to your doctor about getting screenings approved at an earlier age.
Save your ass, save your life.

A urologist did that to me. Imagine my surprise when a different urologist told me it was completely unnecessary for an UTI.
