It’s such a deep dark shadowy black or red that I can barely see anything in several important scenes. When she’s outside in the sun or on krypton, it looks normal, other movies look normal on my tv, but is this extremely dark shadowy absence of light what the rest of you are seeing?
It’s honestly the worst part of the movie for me. and there’s a shot where she

inhales in space.

Personally the writing and directing was a bigger issue for me. 🤔
Maybe they should have tried to explain the plot and a few less asplosions.
Yeah, Jason Momoas uncountable iteration of Aquaman didn’t help either (I know Lobo was already established in the comics, but come on, that’s no acting range).
not me. what don’t you like about the direction?
I didn’t mind the writing changes but I disliked how bland they made the lighting of a very colorful comic — while not a Gunn movie it’s disappointing that he wouldn’t have wanted more GOTG coloring for something in his universe.
Edit: this being said, it’s still a fun movie and I look forward to the rest of the new DCU.
I feel the lighting really took some things away from the movie. I’ll still watch others, of course. you know what’s on the slate?
The worst thing about the movie for me was it’s very obvious that James Gunn misses the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
The beginning of the movie was a little shaky and off-brand (too gotg & suicide squad-y) for like the first 30 minutes, the rest of the movie was fun.
It was booooring after 40 minutes. Glad I didn’t pay for that.
