      They are not harmed by the prions, but they are a vector and their feces can spread them.

      This article is about crows spreading CWD, but vultures most likely do the same. Prions are denatured by strong alkaline solutions, but actually strengthened by acidic ones.

    My family relies on vulture stomach acid for most of our household sterilization needs. It’s a little tricky to collect, but damn if it doesn’t do a great job!

      Their poop is also strongly antimicrobial. They intentionally poop on their feet after walking around on their lunch. It’s basically hand sanitizer.

      Might be easier to collect.
