Vance, speaking at a political event in Maine, claimed talks were still ongoing despite Prime Minister Mark Carney pulling Canada out of the negotiations late last week.

Let there be no doubt, Trump is the symptom, not the problem. Vance is the President in Waiting (I predict he will be POTUS after the November elections), and he will be far worse then Trump ever could be. Trump is knee-jerk, Vance is cold and calculating.

But the good news is, based on the mud-slinging the Republican party is doing, they are really. really afraid they will lose the Senate AND the House in November, and they are trying to shore up support in America for their failed policies. They really, really need this trade deal, and Carney knows it. Unless they get a trade deal before November, the American political scene will look very, very different.

    I will probably never step foot in the US ever again, sad

    To downvoters - as a dedicated fan of heavy metal that’s usually why I go there. Better shows and festivals than here and by far. Sad that it’s no longer

      My friends want me to go to the bluegrass and old time festivals in the US. Not a snowball’s chance in hell.

      “Oh but it’s all camping and you don’t really spend your money there and everyone you see is pretty progressive at these events” except that’s not the point. I don’t want my name on that shit, or anywhere near it. I don’t want even the chance that someone thinks I’m remotely ok with that piece of shit country.
