Why don’t you just… not interact with her content then?
Because it’s spammed everywhere? I could block the artist account, but this unfunny shit is reposted ad nauseam in multiple communities. It’s not like there’s a giant red button one can press to stop seeing specific content everywhere.
The art style is recognizable. Seems easier to me to recognize the art, not bother reading it, and scroll to the next post, than it would be to go into the post to tell everyone engaging with the political cartoon that you don’t like political cartoons.
If I see a post about sports I don’t go into the comments to tell everyone there I don’t care for sorts, because the people in that comment section do not care.
OMG can you imagine if people did that though? ‘This person posted about the Dodgers! I hate the Dodgers! I demand that nobody post anything about them ever because I don’t want to see it!’
So what made you stop? You’re joining the circle jerk of praise, or you’re furious that some of us aren’t on board, and you’re going to tell us all to go outside?
I stopped because I don’t have a hatred of these comics, and I was interested in the comments.
I’m not doing either of those things. There’s no way to read my comment and get to either of those two conclusions without making something up out of thin air.
Define “fury”. I feel like I’m being relatively conversational, we just disagree on something. I’m not calling you slurs, or making assumptions of your character. I’m simply responding to people who are responding to me at this point, with a few minor exceptions.
If I were to make any kind of judgement it would be that a lot of you don’t really know how this is supposed to work. For too many, and maybe you included, discourse in social media means you have to completely agree with something, or else remain silent. You’ve been swatting at trolls so long you don’t know the difference. This has the unfortunate side effect of creating echo chambers, and these little praise parties.
Edit: actually, overlooking my comment to you, maybe I was 😬 oops. I’m probably getting a little swept up in this too – anyway, you still stopped, the same as I did. Should I be obligated to say something nice about the content, or nothing at all? So the conclusion is still the same.
I like comics. I like 4 panel comics on social media. I am not US citizen. I am not willing to see only policital comics. I don’t want to see extrapolated political comics. I come in the comics sub to get away from politics.
Unfortunately, all pizzacake does is political comics. Or at the very least most popular ones that got pushed up the feed. Hence I don’t enjoy her content.
There is a reason why many left non-political subs like r/pics, r/crazyfuckingvideos, r/publicfreakout or r/adviceanimals. These subs not supposed to be politically locked echo chambers. But now they are.
If I want to keep up with politics, I’ll go to politics communities, subs and news outlets. Blasting US politics out of every corner gets annoying quite fast.
So you want an echo chamber? Or a circle jerk? I mean, if you want quiet you can put away the phone and just go outside and do stuff. That’s typically not as contentious. Boring even.
Which I don’t get. If they want something to constantly agree with them, and absolutely love the things they love then just chat at ChatGPT. It’ll shine that bottom better than any human will.
We’re particular and become disagreeable after a time.
I seriously don’t understand the hate. You hate her because she’s lazy? Why don’t you just… not interact with her content then?
Did they revise their comment? I’m reading “don’t like,” not hate.
People not liking an artist is sort of how things work.
No, I did add “and uninspired” tho to hone specificly how I feel about the artist. I don’t ‘hate’ them, I don’t even know them.
Yeah, I don’t really care about “not liking them”, but they specifically said “hate”, which I find to be a little much.
I did not you liar.
Because he’s a misogynist loser
I don’t regularly at all, I saw the comment war here and gave my 2 cents because I felt like it, just like you did just now.

So just scroll on by. You chose to open up the comment section for the comic. Nobody made you do that.

Yes, this is why places like Ml will ban you for pointing out historical facts.
