    Taiwan? The military dictatorship until the mid-1990s, founded by a warlord who slaughtered thousands of civilians? Do you mean that Taiwan? We have to protect that at all costs; in no way is it just a way to expand our military footprint next to a superpower. No, not Ukraine. Taiwan!

      To be fair, (to be fayuuuuh) the history of most countries includes some genocidal bastard. Not usually so recently, and not usually a special bastard like Chang Kai Shek, but for me, that just makes me way more impressed that Taiwan isn’t acting like Israel.

        Love facts. And he dropped an important one. They’ve been NOT a military dictatorship for the last 30 years. So if they want to not be China, that’s up to them.
