He’s sober enough to do that regularly? Huh, I never would have guessed.
You cannot defeat cocaine confidence with mere knowledge and experience.
I just don’t get it. How can Americans read statements like this
“It’s a betrayal of the force. And much of what they’re publishing is inaccurate … We are in great shape around the world. This story isn’t about readiness. It’s TDS and PDS – they hate President Trump and Secretary Hegseth more than they love America.”
and not get, at best really weirded out by your elected officials??
It’s not on Fox News so…
Because the majority of Americans never read those kind of statements — either because they are uninformed, or completely misinformed. And most of those exposed to the same information will actively dismiss it as misinformation.
Americans simply do not share a common reality.
54% of Americans 16-74 read below a 6th grade reading level.
What I find even more weird is that some conservative assholes really think that “TDS” is a thing, and that they tried to get it classified as a mental health disorder.
Straight out of Soviet Russia.
The horrifying part isnt the elected weirdos, that happens sometimes. Its the fact that at least 30% of our neighbors are fully on board with the nazis.
Like half of them are fully self aware nazis. The other half are so lost in their bubble that they’re completely divorced from the idea that everything they believe is pure fascism. Like present them with a picture of auschwitz and theyll say “thats evil!” But show them an ICE prison and theyre all, “Wooo alligator alcatraz, baby! Do they have merch?”
What I find wild is that so many of them don’t really seem to grok how people, including their own flesh and blood, do not want to associate with them. They act like the other people are the ones being unreasonable: “it’s just politics, we can still get along”. Or, “what’s the big deal, it’s just donnie, do you have TDS or something?”
It’s only wild because Americans are a bunch of cowards who refuse to give them what they deserve. They’d get the picture pretty quickly once they started routinely being beaten within an inch of their lives.
I don’t think you understand how strong the police and military are here. No one would “get what they deserve” because they would be gunned down the moment they tried. The VERY FEW that succeed, like Luigi, didn’t last long. Seriously, try to think of one name, other than Luigi, that actually did what you suggest.
Their focus on the left’s hatred of the right is such a frustrating argument. Their policies are entirely based on dishonesty and manipulation of people and real violence against people that don’t deserve it. Yeah, I hate that, but it’s not unreasonable. It’s also not my identity like they seem to imply.
It’s better 100 innocents suffer rather than one guilty walk free.
/s
Makes me think about them saying they’re only going after the criminal immigrants. Instead they’re taking people out of courthouse that were trying to do the right thing. One in a thousand might be criminals.
the left’s hatred of the right
This is a weird construct.
The left doesn’t hate the right. The left hates the immoral and illegal things going on, and how the ability of some people to simply exist seems to be constantly at risk.
We can think people are cruel, selfish, misguided, bigoted, possible criminals without actually hating them. That hate is a separate thing because so many of the ones we see are just assholes.
Seeing what’s going on with ICE feels more like hate…
Really? How should one react to racist, uneducated goons. Kidnaping and torturing people and just generally breaking the law.
They conflate their actions with their selfhood. It’s the same argument used in East Ramapo.
When non-Orthodox oppose the dismantling of the district and the distribution of funds to private schools, we are accused of being antisemitic.
This story I insane.
For more than seven years, 10,000 public school students — almost entirely children of color — in the East Ramapo Central School District just 40 miles north of New York City have had lead in their school water fountains.
In 2005 the area’s ultra-Orthodox Jewish majority — whose children almost entirely attend private yeshivas — organized and won control of the school board. In 2009, the new board began gutting the public schools, whose students are 95% Black and Latinx.
The board eliminated hundreds of public school positions, including teachers, social workers, and more, while authorizing eye-popping millions of taxpayer funds to the district’s private religious schools, including door-to-door, gender-segregated busing for students.
Among the ongoing obstacles to fixing the district’s problems is that the district’s religious-school voters consistently reject public school budgets. Over the past 15 years, school budget tax increases have failed 11 times in East Ramapo — more than any other district in the state.
It’s crazy that this can happen. In my kids school district, a guy keeps getting reelected to the board who’s kids all went to private school. Thank God he can get the “Trans” books out of the library whole education has declined for years.
We do… But what else are we supposed to do about it? For me Washington DC is 20 hours away by car, assuming that my 15-year-old car could make it that far and that I could afford the gas right now. I’m only halfway to the other coast too.
I would like to point out that Hegseth isn’t an elected official, so he’s even worse than the elected ones, he doesn’t have the consent of the people.
If the citizens of the USA wanted someone who values consent they wouldn’t have elected Trump…
Stacked deck of the electoral college and a total failure from the previous admin to not run again so an effective democratic campaign could be run.
Most sane people with educations here are screaming inside every day.
It’s a bit more complex than that, but yes, they fucked up biggggg time. Twice. Well, many other times, but twice with trump. Conservatism itself manufactured the environment that produced Trump and sold him as a solution, and people fell for it. Some wanted to hurt others by electing him, some thought he was a genuine solution to economic problems, some just wanted to shake things up, and many in those last two categories regret their decisions in a big way. Still, a third of the nation doesn’t regret a thing, and those people will always be a huge problem.
LOL, is that what the Pentagon said, now that donnie and petey have captured the Pentagon?
