Man I’m glad I started shaving my head when I did. For anyone out there also dealing with going bald, fully committing usually looks better than pretending it’s not happening.
My dad and uncle look like twins, but my dad always shaved his head and my uncle tried the 3-hair combover to cover it up. So I grew up seeing how much better my dad always looked, and the second I noticed my receding hairline, I committed. Looking back at old pics, it was still probably a year or two later than I should have. The blinders are real.
I’ve tried it before, but I’ve been told that when I shave my head I look as if I’m on cancer treatment. So I guess I still look better with the hair that I’ve got.
Depending on what they meant by that it could be they needed a period to adjust to the new look. I know it took a while before people forgot what I even looked like with hair.

I’m planning on getting an incredibly unrealistic wig and refusing to admit that I’ve gone bold.
You can also take DHT blockers to prevent hair loss, and minoxidil to turn vellus hair into terminal hair
I’ve made it to my mid 40s with full coverage. Not sure if I would shave it completely or go with a #1 or #2 all over when my time comes.
I guess it depends on where/how it happens?

When people tell you this, respond with a thousand-yard stare, wait 15 seconds, and then quietly say, “I don’t want to talk about it right now.”

> How come you look so good?
< After a while people forgot how I used to look
(No shade though, i’m genuinely happy you’re happy with how you look.)
Also your head might not have tanned yet, that helps.
Can you grow a beard? I had a couple of years after shaving where I looked like a thumb, but a beard changed everything.
The beard changed everything … from the front.
Sorry to break it to you like this.
Party in the front, thumb in the back. I can dig it.
as someone in the same boat, 💯️ agreed
Yep. As soon as it starts going I’m gonna go turtle-wax bald
