Nintendo Store link

Release date is Nov 5 2026. I believe the physical release is an actual physical release and not a game key card.

    Nintendo finally hired that guy!

Jokes aside, looks pretty good. The faces are throwing me off a lot though. They’re so… weird. I was expecting something closer to breath of the wild than the semi-realistic style. I hope they adjust kid link, at least.

I kinda like child link. He looks so angry and unfazed all the time. A little smile when he picks up some rupees would have been nice but I like it. Zelda on the other hand is freaking me out a little. I think they’re trying to make the characters look like the game art from the original. Like, western oil painting touch with big googly anime eyes.

I thought the faces looked good, except young Zelda looked a little weird to me.

Looking closer I think all the child characters look really uncanny. They’re all so stubby with huge eyes and it’s just weird. Adult link and Ganon look great though.

Saria, Malon, the Kokiri shop kid, look decent. Young Link looks like a doll face with shimmering eyes and rosy blush cheeks and glossy skin, young Zelda has super weird eyes and nose proportions, but the other kids look a lot better with skin tones a lot flatter and less random shading, Saria’s and Malon’s eyes are much less jarring than Zelda. In the shot with Saria and Link facing each other at the beginning of Miyamoto’s play demo, Link’s face profile is glimmering from the lighting, and Saria’s face is normal in the same lighting, they’re clearly not from the same art / shading style.

Child Link looks exactly like the mini cherub statues my grandma used to have, and I really like that in the context of what he has to go through in OoT/MM and what we know of the Zelda timeline. Adult Link looks good though, I’m really happy they kept his and Zelda’s noses like the OG instead of giving them button noses.

The water on people makes them look a bit too shiny. I hope they adjust it before release. Otherwise I think they mostly look pretty good.
