Every single Anthropic and OpenAI employee retweeting or otherwise agreeing with Coxon is full of shit. “Hi, I work at [insert AI lab name here], and Jacob is right. I’m scared. There’s a 10% chance humanity ends in the next 10 years. I am continuing to work on this technology that might end humanity in 10 years. Ask me anything.”
They’re so full of themselves they either don’t care or believe they are the only ones responsible enough to make the AI
Seriously, if you genuinely believe you will destroy civilisation, STOP WORKING THERE you are only making it worse
I continue to be amazed by those random university students somehow outwitting all of LessWrong on this matter.
This is an incredible read, i haven’t finished it yet but I can’t believe these are all new arguments to these people.
e: I got through some of the comments, no, they’ve heard the arguments but their counter arguments are being filtered through a willfully incorrect version of reality
