    Yeah, I don’t. Doesn’t mean though that public health officials and researchers simply stopped monitoring the situation. Just like the Flu COVID isn’t going to vanish. So what’s the point of continuing regular public status updates unless there is another critical situation brewing?

    As I’ve posted in another reply Influenza kills roughly 24,000 people per month directly or indirectly worldwide. That is in a good year. In bad years casualties can rise to as much as 54,000 per month. PER MONTH. Diseases such as Influenza and COVID simply can’t be eradicated because they are so easily transmitted and in the majority of cases only cause temporary discomfort.
