In contrast, DS9’s holosuites a few years later were established technology for commercial use. They were reliable because they were designed for paying customers who wouldn’t tolerate shit turning real and hunting them or whatever.
I am so grateful that it all of DS9, and there were many hologram-related episodes, they never used “holodeck problem” as a plot hook.
