I hear anti-communist nonsense at work sometimes and this is what it feels like. “Commies tried so many times and it always fails!” (literally ignoring coups and regime changes, AES, that capitalism might kill us all, sex trafficking, etc)
Communism didn’t “fail” so much as it “lost”.
And to be clear, while the dissolution of the Soviet Union was devastating, there are still strong socialist states like China today. Communism didn’t lose, it took a major blow temporarily.
