Thank you. It’s been a few years. I’m okay but, much as I miss having a dog in my life, I don’t think getting another one right now would be a good idea for them or me. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend.
I have a kid who turns seven very soon. They remember some of our previous dogs, but very vaguely. I’m waiting for them to ask for a dog, then I’ll decide.
I also have three cats. Two of them are around fifteen years old. I’m going to have a lot of processing to do distressingly soon.
That’s how we ended up getting a second dog when our turned 10.
She’s 12 now and the other puppy is 2 and a total insane whirlwind of fur. So not we have to vacuum 2-3 times a week of we don’t want hair everywhere, and even then it’s everywhere anyways.

Dogs can’t be amazing; that’s blatant propaganda. If they were amazing, I’d want another canine friend and I can’t handle losing one right now.

Honestly, same. I lost my own in 2019 and I’m still not ready. I know I’ll get another but the time will have to be right.
