Yeah The Name of the Wind was supposed to be 3 or 4 books and he got through 2 and just hit a dead spot I guess. Reviews are mixed but I liked the first one. Second I think got a little weird but alright. Many didn’t like it because they say the character was “good at everything no matter what” and I disagree with that because the story is a biography being written about him and he (a stage performer born to traveling circus members) is telling the story. … So yes. The dude isn’t going to say he was shit at telling left from right or math. He’s going to recount everything as being through “rose tinted glasses” because that’s the story he wants people to read about him.
