The White House has launched another taxpayer-funded television ad before the midterms, this time featuring imagery of President Donald Trump walking down a hall as audio plays of him saying “this is the final battle.”
“We will cast out the communist, Marxists, and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media, and we will liberate America from these villains once and for all,” Trump says in the ad, echoing comments he made during a Veterans Day speech in 2023.
How is any of this legal? Why aren’t Americans doing anything about it? WTF happened to you guys?

The Supreme Court established that the President cannot be held accountable for any conduct (as part of his Official Duties) by anyone except through impeachment. So the President can break any law, as long as 1/2 the House (or 1/3 of the Senate) agrees to let it slide.
It’s not. The people with the authority to do anything about it either won’t or can’t. You’re First Amendment rights are worth 2¢ in a trillion dollar economy. While the 2A was supposedly written to be the follow-up, it has basically the same effect.
The Republicans in Congress could stop all of this at any time. They choose not to. They support it, even if they say otherwise.
Trump will be Trump, but we need to direct our anger at the rest of his party as well, for not holding him accountable. I hope enough people realize this in November.
