Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Sunday predicted that Democrats will impeach Trump for a third time between his two presidencies if they take control of the House after the November midterm elections.
Jordan suggested in an interview on “Cats Roundtable,” the WABC 770 AM radio show hosted by John Catsimatidis, that Democrats will take the legislative branch’s oversight capability “and turn it into a weaponization of government.”
“They say they’re not going to, but we know they will –– they’ll do a third impeachment of President Trump,” Jordan told the host. “But that’s just part of it. They’re going to investigate the first family, they’re going to investigate cabinet secretaries.”

What did the first two impeachments accomplish? His term wasn’t cut short and he faced no consequences at all. Maybe democrats think the impeachments count as a “black mark” on his record or some dumb thing like that, but in practice they didn’t matter. Democrats had the opportunity to prosecute trump after 2020 with plenty to prosecute him for, including Jan 6th, and yet they sat around and did nothing for four years. I’m sick of this dog and pony show.
Impeachment? This dude should be in an old folks home. He’s barely lucid, and they’ve been doing a Weekend at Bernies for 2 years with his barely there corpse.
If they weren’t complicit in his crimes, he’d have been removed from office a long time ago.
He should be in solitary confinement serving hundreds of consecutive life sentences

Any time and effort they spend fighting impeachment is less time they spend fucking up everything else.
It made MAGA jump through hoops in a panic, and the entire world was talking about Trump’s corruption. That’s not nothing.
And history will NEVER forget it. It’s never a bad idea to put an evil dictator’s crimes on the permanent written record for all time.
Literally everyone I knew thought impeachments automatically kicked you out of office until his first one, and it’s insane that they don’t do that.
Impeachment is analogous to Indictment in criminal law
Basically everything requires agreement between the house and the senate. The house impeaches, and the senate convicts, thereby agreeing with the house. If they disagree, it stops there just like any other legislation.
I feel like the big official sounding word of “impeachment” should be reserved for after the Senate convicts. Otherwise it’s just a meaningless gesture on behalf of the House.
I began searching to see how Bill Clinton was removed, then I realized the Senate acquitted him and his term naturally ended later that month. Andrew Johnson also wasn’t convicted.
This mechanism of removing the president from office has literally never worked before! The whole impeachment process is an overhyped nothing burger!
Edit: I should add that all three presidents had the majority of Senate vote to convict at least one of the impeachment charges, but they needed a 2/3rds supermajority because why not?
Clinton’s impeachment is why not. People forget that the blow job he lied about getting that he was impeached for wasn’t what he was being investigated for. The investigation was for a supposed shady land deal that turned out to be completely above board. They just kept desperately searching for anything they could because they knew they couldn’t win the next election.
The 2/3rds rule makes it hard to convict so that type of purely political move isn’t a normal function of congress.

Like most laws about what a government official (especially the president) can and can’t do. The amount of illegal shit trump does on the daily is insane. But who will be successful in actually making him face consequences?
Can we make him face consequences for Epstein, and his felony convictions too?
SCOTUS says no. So, we need to remove them first.
We need to make it illegal for conservatives to hold any position of authority. Conservatism can bring only oppression, sickness and death. History has proven this throughout all recorded history.
Nazi symbols, KKK propaganda and confederate flags need to be completely destroyed, and these fools shouldn’t be allowed to spread their views on public platforms. They need to be constantly harassed and humiliated out of existence.
We should be targeting and eliminating white religio-nationalist organizations and purging their influence from all levels of government, especially law enforcement.
