Or ‘What is PeerTube lacking that you simply cannot do without?’

I believe it’s a safe assumption that fediverse users want to move away from the monopolies and closed gardens so often associated with video streaming, and yet it’s not a task that’s ever been made easy. Maybe an ounce of inspiration is the cue we need, and so my question to you is; What’s Stopping you from using PeerTube?

I’m not the target audience exactly, as I post videos and live stream and run my own PeerTube instance 😅

But something I’m not sure how to handle is sharing links to my videos on PeerTube in other platforms. Specifically, since my instance has a limited scope and requires approval for user registration: it’s meant for people in NYC or posting videos about NYC.

So if I post a link on discord or Lemmy or mastodon, should I instead post a link to my video via one of the more open instances that I federate with? So people can actually make an account and engage that way?
