Or ‘What is PeerTube lacking that you simply cannot do without?’

I believe it’s a safe assumption that fediverse users want to move away from the monopolies and closed gardens so often associated with video streaming, and yet it’s not a task that’s ever been made easy. Maybe an ounce of inspiration is the cue we need, and so my question to you is; What’s Stopping you from using PeerTube?

The very very clunky nature of its instance interconnection, like you really need a dedicated application that does it all for you as the webui really sucks.

This was my problem too. Each instance feels very island-like, I search for things and when no results come up I’m not confident if it’s not on the platform or the instance just doesn’t know it. Guess it’s up in the air how much that’s a real issue vs perception.

YouTube really, really benefits from the combo of centralized structure and having monopolized video for many years.
