We voted to have civil rights restored after sentence was served, but the government did an end run around the people (as usual) and said, “you mean sentence served and fines paid, right?” Then immediately started imposing fines of hundreds of thousands of dollars, really unimaginable amounts, so that it was impossible to ever finish paying them.
