It’s almost like a politician’s job is to not only uphold the will of the electorate, but also act as opposition, and push back on bullshit that the other side is spewing. Rather than constantly conceding to their framing in the hopes of seducing a handful of “moderates.”

That’s literally what “establishment” dems have been doing, the media is just completely failing us and accepting the republican framing of trans issues being actually just 2 people in the Olympics winning over cis women.

She is signaling extremely clearly her support for trans people and that they are important to America.

Dems have been trying to get healthcare passed constantly and Republicans block it tooth and nail. All the popular policies you’ve listed ARE popular, but the implementations are divisive. Should it be single payer healthcare, state sponsored, something else. Because of that, obamacare is all we got. Most people are fine with data centers so long as it’s not in their town, how to fix the housing market is contentious, flock cameras are contentious (among all americans, not sure about dems specifically), and israel is contentious (not among dems but among moderates and Republicans).

We haven’t seen policy on these because it’s hard to get a room of people to agree on the specifics of how to fix them. Dems are absolutely failing on their messaging that they support these popular issues, and maybe they should have a policy on it by now, but their job is about 100x harder than Republicans who literally just press the be evil button while fox news says actually it’s good. Add on to that, half of America keeps electing Republicans who undo the policy or block it from existing in the first place.
