Back in (estimating) 1997, I was playing Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 via the then-relevant MSN Online and someone posted a link in the public chat; I don’t remember what the link offered, but it was enticing enough that my ten-year-old self clicked it.
They said “someone with the IP [whatever IP I had then] clicked this!” In response I unplugged both my modem and computer so they couldn’t hack me.
It’s embarrassing to remember now, but I knew so little at the time that it seemed to make sense in the moment.

I was walking out of the gym today and some random kid stood up and gave me a fist bump for no reason. It’s been a shitty week so far, and that kid made my day.
