No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I don't understand how Trump gets away with all his senial BS. How come everyone is not telling him to piss off or use the constitution to shut him the hell up?
1·5 days ago“If you don’t, someone else will.” But that only works when the population is so divided that they don’t trust the average replacement to hold your standards. And then of course be proven that the next person actually doesn’t hold the same standards.
What, and then go 37.5? 24 and 48 are right there.

People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•Free for all at ICE! No background checks!
29·8 days agoIt’s by design. If you want to hire bottom of the barrel, you can’t have any standards or loops to jump through, or you might lose applicants. As a bonus, people who recognize this won’t even apply. As another bonus, articles keep spawning that make ICE out to be a badly run organisation of idiots, when in reality it’s actually exactly what it’s meant to be and run by ruthless fascists.
Attacking how communication is done instead of what’s being communicated is a form of subversion the CIA uses to mess with foreign actors. The left and its tolerance towards others (e. g. misgendering by accident) is very susceptible to such attacks and they’ve let themselves be decimated on the public stage because of it.
I have a watch that shows binary time. Two rows, I think 12 hour cycle, no seconds. Pretty easy to read, honestly. Also an absolute nerd gadget and I loved it.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that incest is legal in many countries. For example: Brazil, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Mainland China (but incest is illegal in Hong Kong SAR).English

Everything goes through our brains and therefore filters and interpretations. Science doesn’t happen if grants are approved and that usually means someone has something to gain. Even then, results are skewed by method and biases.
Science very much does care about our feelings, both individual and collective, every step of the way. That’s why there needs to be special care to take them out as much as possible.
So word for word what Putler said about Ukraine.
Because the current requirements are constant and not like a photography flash just a short but extreme amount. There’s no point in putting a few Watt seconds into a capacitor if the power requirement is 2kW for minutes.
Plus
- power storage is large
- you need a way to transfer the stored power into the water faster (otherwise why bother), which means thicker coils and more wear
Mulholland Drive is terribly boring if you quit before two thirds of the movie.

I sucked in oral exams and therefore hated them. Then again, if they had been mixed into regular school, it might not have sucked so much.
