The only thing that ever wakes my LCD is the Bluetooth keyboard / mouse dongle plugged into the dock it resides in. If I take the Deck out of the dock and plug it back in I have to turn it on once before it will recognize the keyboard / mouse.

Anyways, great game, ten out of ten, probably a top ten all time. Probably would be a top five if it wasn’t for having to sit through loading screens just to play it offline.

The funniest part is it became even more difficult to comprehend when they folded it all into one game, it was easier to just buy the fucking games when they were 1 - 2 - 3.

Hoping to cover costs solely from cosmetics is a pie-in-the-sky fancy and they knew that, the only way that works is if your game blows up in the way that only those rare, 0.01% of games do. Saying they expected that to work out was some fucking bullshit. I sympathize with their plight, it’s obvious that if the options are sell DLC or shut down the studio, you sell DLC, but it shouldn’t have happened like this.

They were dishonest at worst or brutally naive at best from the start. I’m willing to accept that latter simply because these were originally Reddit people who wanted to make their own mark on the genre, but it’s still inexcusable. I have zero involvement in the industry and I could tell you that was not gonna work out.

The Wii sold the most consoles but the 360 had the most engagement. Wii consoles sat in closets or became Wii Sports machines, 3rd parties gave up releasing titles on it due to miserable sales and the only games that sold were Nintendo games. Saying it “won the generation” because it sold the most consoles isn’t really telling the whole truth.

Ubisoft is a textbook example of what happens when you pin your companies revenue on a small handful of IPs and milk them to the absolute fucking limit. I like assassins creed, but I’ve played enough of them for the rest of my life. Make something new my dudes.
