The Missouri Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered a judge in Kansas City to lift an injunction that had blocked restrictions on abortion, a decision that upends access to the procedure six months after voters enshrined reproductive rights into the state Constitution.

The two-page order imposes a “de facto abortion ban” in the state, according to the leaders of the state’s two Planned Parenthood affiliates. Abortion appointments at the Planned Parenthood clinics Kansas City and Columbia were cancelled in the wake of Tuesday’s decision.

And with that, the Missouri General Assembly literally just spent the last session focusing on repealing the three 2024 progressive voter-approved amendments: $15 minimum wage, required paid sick leave, and ending the abortion ban.

They spent the rest of the time trying to find a way to overcome Kansas City’s decision to vote down six billion for a new KC Chiefs stadium. (And there’s apparently a special session coming for that.)

I hate that the weakening of the Federal Government means your rights kinda just depend on where your home address is located.

Imagine being pregnant and scared, alone. You finally have an appointment scheduled to deal with this, but now it’s cancelled because of these ghouls.
