And I mean actively post on it, not just browsing it for info and guides and such.

For me personally there’s a handfull (namely two) small subs that are just too niche to gain any reasonable traction on Lemmy (yet).

    The fediverse just isn’t there yet. I do fundraisers yearly and I’d never make goals on Lemmy / piefed. I am trying hard to be part of the solution, though, recommending it all over.

      That’s why I like the +1 approach. If you post something on a big tech platform, post it on the fediverse as well.

      • Posting to reddit? Post it on the threadiverse as well.
      • Uploading to YouTube? Mirror the video to PeerTube.
      • Posting on Instagram? Post it on Pixelfed too.
      • …and so on

      I don’t expect mainstream adoption of the fediverse soon, but people shouldn’t be forced into a walled garden to stay informed/entertained.
