A nearby school has just finished construction and is planning to open next week. However, it’s already been struck multiple times by bullets escaping a shooting range a mile or so away. They’ve released notices telling people to avoid one side of the building due to the stray bullets and adjusted activities to the late evening when the range is closed.
After asking the range to improve it’s quality so that this doesn’t happen, the shooting range apparently told them to pound sand. Now there’s a big lawsuit trying to force this shooting range to actually stop the bullets being fired so they don’t kill children because they refuse to do anything.

The new school doesn’t show up on Google maps yet, but here is the distance between the range and school site.

I don’t understand how this wasn’t a problem before the school… That shooting range is just pointing at an apparent neighborhood with a small berm at the end of the lanes and then, just pasture?
Oh, well, this is Texas, they probably think catching a few strays will toughen them up. The Texas government hates its own people almost as much as they hate people from everywhere else.
I think the houses are far enough off the direction of fire that they haven’t been hit, whereas the school is in the line of fire.
Or they’ve just been lucky?
Damn yeah thats just directly north downrange lol
Oh wow, the range directly faces the school.
Yeah, that’s terrifying.
