That is a profoundly easy distinction, perhaps the easiest historical state distinction EVER.

Kind of an odd trend where women are promoting the idea that women aren’t supposed to know much about history and it’s just a man thing. “Hey girls, isn’t it kinda strange that men know things about history? It’s so weird, but kinda cute I guess LOL!”

Seems a little regressive to me.

    Instructions unclear, they said

“It’s the same difference between Han and Qing Dynasties, they were a different ethnicity and administration too, but why do we consider China to historically be one country that splits and unifies again instead of a new nation each time? Ottomans called themselves Rome too, does academic nuance only extend to Europe? Why do we neglect eastern history? In this essay, I will…”

Girl if you don’t know the difference between the Ottoman and the Byzantine empires just know that you instruction is seriously lacking.

    EDIT: education for instruction

Chelsea Handler had on this very stoned and very bored long-haired rocker who was kind of grunting replies to her questions.

She went on talking about Nicragua for some reason, then said “It turns out Nicaragua is right next to Honduras. Did you know that?”

      Rocker: Yeah, sure.

Handler, genuinely surprised: Huh? Why do you know that?

Rocker: Because I was educated in England.

It was noel fielding (goth comedian), and he was replying to Handler asking how he knew Nicaragua existed.

It was a pretty funny bit. Stoned, I couldn’t say, but I think he’s just like that.

Ottomans tried calling themselves Rome at some point.

Also about two months ago, I read an old French essay from 1800s where author says something along the lines of “even the emperor of constantinople fell weak with the passage of time,” and I went MAD trying to figure out if they mean the sick man of europe or the dead.
