Dolly is one of the few people you can say this about in her eulogy and it wouldn’t even be disrespectful.

Dolly was a real one, as someone who doesn’t usually care about celebrity deaths, or country music, this made me sad, she will be missed.

Here’s a little story: In my garage growing up we had a metal can (idk if it was like a bedroom trash can or what) that had Dolly on it. I’m guessing it caused me to have a dream that I thought was real until I was about 10 years old. I had a memory of pulling up to Dolly’s house (which in my false memory was like a 3-bedroom in southern California a few blocks from my house) with my Mom and her and my mom had a conversation sitting in Dolly’s living room as I played on the floor with toys. I must’ve been about 10 before it clicked into my head that there was no way my mom was buddies with Dolly Parton and that she lived just around the way lol. But I grew up thinking she was a family friend. In a way, she was.
