Weight’s not too bad if you have a counterweight so it’s not all in the front. There’s also at least 1 out there (BigPicture, IIRC) that has a headset that’s super small almost like a pair of glasses, but not quite that small. It’s smaller than the Frame is.
Sweat is a mixed bag and there’s a downside to both foam (absorbs sweat, gets nasty, some models also are itchy af) and silicone (becomes slippery, doesn’t breath so you sweat more).
Really the biggest thing keeping it trom becoming a bigger scene is probably the lack of good software. Alyx is still the best thing you can play exclusive to VR. Most other shit is basically mobile shovelware and artsy “experiences”/tech demos.
